INTRODUCTION
In today's age which witnesses the domination of technology, data, and materialistic worldview over our life, the field of art was seen as being mutually exclusive or independent with science and vice versa. However, is the division true? This talk gathered three academic-practitioners, Dr. Mohammad Umair and Dr. Dzul Afiq from Universiti Malaya and Dr. Syahrul Niza from National Art Gallery, to discuss this topic from the perspective of visual art, philosophy of science and museology in dissecting the relationship between the two fields, in understanding man, life and society. The discussion will touch upon the role of art in the development of a nation, the limitation and possibiltiy of science-art integration as well as the place of museal institution as a space that joins the two disciplines. Consequently, suggests solution for the advancement of a comprehensive and holistic intellectual outlook that promotes interdisciplinary practices which can be best facilitated by museal institutions.
