UM Art Gallery, Level 2, UM Main Library

INTRODUCTION

This exhibition which consists of more than thirty large-scale attention, and invite the viewer into an immersive dialogue. The title Opera D'Arte encapsulates the nature of her practice" like an opera, her paintings are layered, dramatic and deeply expressive. Utopia becomes both a concept and a pursuit-not a fixed destination but a space in which ideals, imperfections, and possibilities co-exist. These works are less about depicting a perfect world and more about racing the human desire to reconcile the inner and outer landscapes we inhabit.

The allure of abstract art lies precisely in its ability to delve into these deeper emotional and experiential realms. Abstract art is a non-objective art form that consciously breaks away from traditional, realistic styles. Instead portraying identifiable subject or telling a literal story, it focuses on expressing emotion, intangible experiences, and concepts through elements like color, form, line and texture. This shift away from realistic representation allows for a profound disruption of the art world's conventional boundaries, inviting both artist and viewer into a more subjective and interpretive space. The artist's passion for this style often stems from the magical sense standing before a "lyrical awork" - one that embodies joy, rhythm, and deep emotion. The act of painting while listening to music, allowing that energy to radiate through every brush stroke, suggest a desire to capture feeling and movement directly onto the canvas, rather than replicating a physical scene. In this way, the canvas itself "dances", becoming  a vibrant conduit for internal states and imaginative exploration, making abstract art a compelling and deeply personal choices for creative expression.

As you move through this exhibition, you allow yourself to slow down, to stand close, to let the colours and forms speak their own language to you. You may find fragments of your own utopia within them-or perhaps they will inspire you to imagine a new one altogether.
